I am a Staff Research Scientist at Waymo.
I completed my PhD in Computer Science at the University of Pennsylvania
with my advisor, Kostas Daniilidis.
Before that, I did my undergraduate studies at Duke University.
I am a member of the perception foundation model team at Waymo, developing and scaling large foundation models for autonomous driving.
Within the team, I lead the effort to integrate VLMs into our perception foundation models, with the goal of unlocking reasoning and
generalization capabilities. More generally I am also interested in model and data scaling, multi-task training and multi-modal sensing.
I am also the TL for the learned segmentation system running on all Waymo cars, where we develop novel methods to perform extremely high
performance segmentation in real time on all of our vehicles.
